CALL OF ROLEPLAY
FORUM RULES
Welcome to the Call of Roleplay Community Forum.
The forum is the central place for community discussions, announcements, factions, reports, applications and other CO:RP related content.
By using the forum, you agree to follow the rules below.

1. GENERAL CONDUCT
1.1 Respect other members
Treat other members of the community with respect.
Harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, excessive personal attacks or deliberately creating a hostile environment are not tolerated.
Disagreements are allowed. Personal attacks are not.
1.2 Use common sense
Not every possible situation can be covered by a written rule.
Deliberately exploiting loopholes or technicalities to disrupt the forum or other members may still result in moderation.
1.3 Staff instructions
Reasonable instructions given by forum moderators or administrators must be followed.
If you disagree with a moderation decision, use the appropriate appeal or staff report process instead of starting a public argument.

2. POSTS & THREADS
2.1 Post in the correct section
Threads should be created in the section most relevant to their subject.
Staff may move incorrectly placed threads without notice.
2.2 Use appropriate thread titles
Thread titles should clearly describe the subject of the thread.
Avoid meaningless titles such as:
"HELP"
"LOOK HERE"
"IMPORTANT!!!"
"ADMIN READ"
unless the title genuinely fits the situation.
2.3 Spam
Spam, flooding and repeatedly posting the same or substantially similar content are prohibited.
This includes deliberately posting multiple messages when one post would reasonably be sufficient.
2.4 Off-topic posting
Keep discussions reasonably related to the subject of the thread.
Occasional natural conversation is acceptable, but deliberately derailing threads is not.
Use the Off Topic section for discussions unrelated to Call of Roleplay.
2.5 Bumping
Do not repeatedly bump threads simply to keep them visible.
A reasonable bump may be permitted where relevant, but excessive or unnecessary bumping may be removed.
2.6 Thread hijacking
Do not use another member's thread to start an unrelated discussion, complaint, report or personal dispute.
Create a separate thread in the appropriate section instead.

3. CONTENT
3.1 Inappropriate content
Content that is excessively offensive, pornographic, malicious or otherwise inappropriate for the community is prohibited.
3.2 Discrimination and hate
Content intended to attack, degrade or harass individuals or groups based on protected characteristics is prohibited.
3.3 Personal information
Do not publish another person's private or personally identifying information without their permission.
This includes private addresses, phone numbers, account credentials and similar information.
3.4 Malicious content
Malware, phishing links, malicious downloads, IP grabbers or any content intended to compromise another person's account, device or privacy are strictly prohibited.
3.5 Misleading content
Do not deliberately spread fabricated information while presenting it as official CO:RP information.
Impersonating official announcements, staff statements or server information is prohibited.

4. ACCOUNTS & PROFILES
4.1 Account responsibility
You are responsible for activity performed through your forum account.
Keep your account credentials secure and do not intentionally allow other people to use your account.
4.2 Multiple accounts
Do not create additional forum accounts to:
  • evade a punishment
  • manipulate discussions
  • support your own posts
  • manipulate votes or polls
  • impersonate another person
  • bypass forum restrictions
4.3 Ban evasion
Creating or using another account to bypass a forum suspension or ban is prohibited.
4.4 Impersonation
Do not impersonate another community member, faction representative or member of the CO:RP Staff Team.
4.5 Profile content
Usernames, avatars, signatures, profile information and other profile content must follow the same standards as normal forum posts.

5. REPORTS, APPEALS & COMPLAINTS
5.1 Use the correct section
Player reports, ban appeals, staff reports and other administrative matters must be submitted through their designated forum sections.
5.2 Provide relevant information
Reports and appeals should contain relevant information and available evidence.
Knowingly submitting fabricated, manipulated or intentionally misleading evidence is prohibited.
5.3 Do not interfere with reports
Do not post in reports or appeals that do not involve you unless you have relevant information or evidence to contribute.
5.4 Keep administrative matters out of unrelated threads
Do not spread disputes regarding punishments, reports or staff decisions across unrelated forum sections.
Use the appropriate administrative process.
5.5 Staff reports
Staff members are subject to community rules and internal staff standards.
If you believe a staff member has abused their position or acted improperly, use the designated staff report process.
Public harassment of the staff member is not an acceptable substitute for a report.

6. IN-CHARACTER & OUT-OF-CHARACTER SECTIONS
6.1 Respect the purpose of each section
Content posted in an In Character section should generally remain In Character unless the section specifically allows otherwise.
OOC discussions belong in the appropriate Out of Character sections.
6.2 IC information and Metagaming
Information posted in an IC section may be treated according to the context in which it was published.
Information obtained from OOC sections, administrative discussions, reports or other OOC sources must not be used by your character unless legitimately obtained in-character.
6.3 Faction sections
Faction forums must follow both the general forum rules and any additional rules established for that faction section.
Faction leadership may moderate the organization of their own sections where permitted, but may not override the general CO:RP Forum Rules.

7. ADVERTISING
7.1 Other communities
Advertising or actively recruiting members for competing GTA multiplayer servers or communities without permission is prohibited.
7.2 Commercial advertising
The forum may not be used to advertise unrelated commercial products, services or businesses without permission from CO:RP Management.
7.3 Unsolicited promotion
Do not repeatedly send promotional content through posts or private messages.

8. PRIVATE MESSAGES
Forum rules also apply to private messages sent through the CO:RP forum.
Private messages must not be used for:
  • harassment
  • threats
  • spam
  • malicious links
  • ban evasion
  • unauthorized advertising
Private communication does not provide an exemption from the community rules.

9. MODERATION & ENFORCEMENT
9.1 Moderator actions
Forum staff may edit, move, lock or remove content when necessary to maintain the forum and enforce these rules.
9.2 Unlisted situations
It is impossible for a written rulebook to describe every possible form of abuse or disruption.
Staff may intervene when a member is clearly exploiting a loophole, technical limitation or unforeseen situation in a manner inconsistent with the purpose of these rules.
This does not allow staff members to create arbitrary rules. Moderation decisions must remain consistent with the established rules and principles of Call of Roleplay.
9.3 Punishment evasion
Attempting to bypass or interfere with forum moderation may result in additional action.
9.4 Appeals
Members have the right to use the appropriate appeal or report process if they believe a moderation decision was incorrect.
An appeal does not guarantee that a punishment will be removed.

FINAL NOTE
The CO:RP Forum exists to provide an organized place for the community to communicate, roleplay, share information and resolve administrative matters.
Keep discussions constructive, respect other members and use the appropriate sections for their intended purpose.
By using the Call of Roleplay Forum, you agree to follow these rules.
The rules may be updated when necessary. Major changes will be announced by the CO:RP Staff Team.
