Server Rules - sXouL - 09-09-2026 CALL OF ROLEPLAY
SERVER RULES Welcome to Call of Roleplay. Call of Roleplay is a Light/Medium Roleplay server. These rules exist to maintain fair gameplay, reasonable roleplay and an enjoyable environment for everyone. By playing on the server, you agree to follow the rules below. 1. GENERAL CONDUCT 1.1 Respect other players Treat other players with respect. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, excessive personal attacks or deliberately creating a hostile environment are not tolerated. 1.2 English in public communication English must be used in public server channels so communication can be understood and moderated. Other languages may be used privately where appropriate. 1.3 Do not disrupt other players Deliberately ruining another player's gameplay or roleplay without a valid in-character reason is prohibited. 1.4 Follow staff instructions Reasonable instructions given by staff members during an active situation must be followed. If you disagree with an administrative decision, do not turn the situation into an argument in-game. Use the appropriate appeal or staff report process afterwards. 1.5 Common sense applies No rulebook can cover every possible situation. Deliberately abusing loopholes, technicalities or unintended mechanics to gain an unfair advantage may still result in administrative action. 2. CHEATING, MODIFICATIONS & EXPLOITS 2.1 Cheating The use of cheats, hacks, external programs, scripts, modifications or other tools that provide an unfair gameplay advantage is strictly prohibited. 2.2 Modifications Visual modifications are permitted provided they do not give you an unfair advantage or alter gameplay in a way that affects other players. You are responsible for ensuring that any modification you use is permitted. 2.3 Bug and script abuse Knowingly exploiting a bug, glitch, unintended game mechanic or script behavior for personal advantage is prohibited. If you discover an exploitable bug, report it to the staff team instead of abusing or distributing it. 2.4 Automation Bots, macros, keybinds or scripts that automate gameplay while you are not actively controlling your character are prohibited. Simple keybinds that do not automate gameplay or provide an unfair advantage are permitted. 3. ROLEPLAY 3.1 Roleplay your situations Players are expected to participate in roleplay and behave reasonably within the situation they are involved in. Call of Roleplay does not require Heavy RP or excessive amounts of text. However, you must give other players a reasonable opportunity to participate and respond. 3.2 Refusing Roleplay You may not deliberately ignore, abandon or ruin an active roleplay situation simply because you do not like its outcome. If you wish to escape a situation, you must do so through legitimate gameplay and roleplay. 3.3 Combat Logging / Quit to Avoid Disconnecting, intentionally crashing, using commands or otherwise leaving the game to avoid an active situation is prohibited. This includes attempting to avoid:
3.4 Powergaming Do not force unreasonable actions or outcomes onto another player without giving them an opportunity to react. Do not exploit game mechanics to perform actions your character could not reasonably perform. 3.5 Metagaming Information obtained through OOC sources must not be used by your character unless your character has legitimately obtained that information in-character. This includes information obtained through Discord, private messages, streams or other external communication. 3.6 OOC backup Do not use Discord, private messages, external voice communication or other OOC methods to call players into an active roleplay situation. 3.7 Unrealistic behavior Your character should show reasonable concern for their life and the circumstances around them. Light/Medium RP allows flexibility, but intentionally absurd or unrealistic behavior designed to avoid consequences or ruin situations may be considered failure to roleplay. 4. DEATHMATCHING & COMBAT 4.1 Deathmatching (DM) Attacking or killing another player without a valid roleplay reason is prohibited. A weak or fabricated excuse created solely to justify attacking another player does not constitute sufficient roleplay. 4.2 Revenge Killing (RK) You may not return after your death to kill, attack or assist against the players involved in the situation that caused your death. Your death ends your participation in that specific conflict. 4.3 Returning to the scene After being killed, do not immediately return to the same active scene to assist friends, recover equipment, observe the fight or continue the conflict. 4.4 Vehicle Deathmatching (VDM) Using a vehicle as a weapon against players without a legitimate roleplay reason is prohibited. Repeated or deliberate ramming intended primarily to kill, injure or disrupt another player is also prohibited. 4.5 Spawn Killing Intentionally attacking players at a spawn point before they have a reasonable opportunity to move or respond is prohibited. 4.6 Mass Deathmatching Attacking or killing multiple players without legitimate roleplay justification is considered Mass DM and may result in severe punishment. 5. POLICE, WANTED PLAYERS & SURRENDER 5.1 Copbaiting Deliberately provoking police solely to become wanted, start a pursuit or create an excuse to fight officers is prohibited. 5.2 Surrender Once you clearly surrender to police, you are expected to cooperate with the situation. You may not surrender simply to gain an advantage and immediately attack or escape when convenient. 5.3 Handcuffed players A handcuffed player must behave accordingly. Attempting to attack officers, repeatedly flee or exploit limitations of the cuff system is prohibited. If the cuff system fails or your character becomes temporarily uncuffed because of a technical issue, you must remain cooperative and allow the officer to restore the situation. 5.4 Assisting wanted players Players may not unrealistically enter an ongoing police situation simply to interfere or assist a wanted player. Using OOC information to locate and assist wanted players is strictly prohibited. 5.5 Police use of force Officers should give suspects a reasonable opportunity to surrender before using lethal force unless there is an immediate threat to officers or others. Players who have surrendered must not be deliberately injured or killed. 5.6 Police powers Police powers, commands, equipment and duty privileges may only be used for legitimate gameplay and roleplay purposes. Abusing police powers to harass players, assist friends, issue false charges or gain an unfair advantage is prohibited. 6. GANGS, FACTIONS & GROUP CONFLICTS 6.1 Valid reasons Faction, gang, family and group conflicts require a legitimate in-character reason. Groups may not initiate large-scale violence because of OOC disagreements or weak excuses created solely to justify combat. 6.2 Participants must understand the conflict Players participating in an organized attack should understand the in-character reason for the conflict. 6.3 No endless revenge loops A conflict must not become an endless cycle of players dying, rearming, returning and attacking again. Once killed, you are out of that active situation. 6.4 Public areas Large-scale conflicts should not intentionally be moved into highly populated or important public areas solely to disrupt unrelated players. 6.5 Territory Claiming an area as gang or faction territory does not automatically give you permission to attack every player who enters it. There must still be a reasonable roleplay basis for violence. 7. ECONOMY, SCAMMING & ASSETS 7.1 Economy abuse Using additional accounts, bugs, exploits, coordinated transfers or unintended mechanics to generate money, items, weapons, vehicles, properties or other assets is prohibited. 7.2 Real-money trading Buying, selling or trading CO:RP accounts, money, vehicles, properties, businesses, weapons, items or other in-game assets for real-world money, goods or services is strictly prohibited. 7.3 New players Deliberately exploiting a new player's lack of server knowledge for significant personal gain is prohibited. 7.4 Protected transactions Do not abuse technical limitations of trading, vehicle, property, business or storage systems to steal assets where the script clearly intends a protected transaction. 7.5 Illegal transactions In-character criminal transactions may carry in-character risks where permitted by the server systems and rules. A criminal roleplay situation does not give players permission to use bugs, exploits or OOC deception. 8. VEHICLES & PROPERTIES 8.1 Vehicle abuse Vehicles must not be used to intentionally disrupt gameplay, block important locations or exploit game mechanics. 8.2 Property entrances Do not intentionally block property entrances, exits or spawn locations in a way that prevents reasonable access. 8.3 Government locations Do not intentionally use vehicles or other mechanics to obstruct government facilities or important server locations without a legitimate roleplay reason. 8.4 Ownership exploits Any exploit involving houses, businesses, vehicles, storage, inventories or ownership transfers must be reported rather than abused. 9. CHAT & COMMUNICATION 9.1 Spam and flooding Flooding, excessive repetition and deliberately disrupting chat channels are prohibited. 9.2 Advertisements The advertisement system must be used for legitimate in-character advertisements. Do not use advertisements for OOC arguments, insults, spam or obviously inappropriate content. 9.3 IC and OOC information Do not intentionally mix IC and OOC information to gain an advantage. 9.4 External advertising Advertising or actively recruiting players for competing GTA multiplayer communities through CO:RP services without permission is prohibited. 10. ACCOUNTS & CHARACTERS 10.1 Account responsibility You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Do not share your account credentials with other players. 10.2 Multiple accounts Do not create or use additional accounts to bypass restrictions, punishments, economy limitations, cooldowns or other server systems. 10.3 Ban evasion Attempting to access the server through another account, IP, device, identity or other method while banned is prohibited. 10.4 Character names Characters must use an appropriate Firstname_Lastname format. Names designed to impersonate other players, contain offensive material, consist of nonsense or deliberately break the intended naming system are prohibited. 11. STAFF & ADMINISTRATIVE ENFORCEMENT 11.1 Staff instructions Players must follow reasonable staff instructions during active administrative situations. 11.2 Administrative disputes If you believe a staff member made an incorrect or unfair decision, use the appropriate appeal or staff report process. Do not disrupt the server or public chat by repeatedly arguing about an administrative decision. 11.3 Unlisted situations It is impossible for a written rulebook to describe every possible form of abuse. Staff may intervene when a player is clearly exploiting a loophole, technical limitation or unforeseen situation in a way that violates the purpose of these rules or creates an unfair or disruptive environment. This does not give staff permission to invent arbitrary rules. Administrative decisions must remain consistent with the principles and established rules of Call of Roleplay. 11.4 Punishment evasion Attempting to bypass, avoid or interfere with an administrative punishment may result in additional action. 11.5 Staff impersonation Impersonating a member of the CO:RP staff team or falsely presenting yourself as having administrative authority is prohibited. FINAL NOTE
The purpose of these rules is not to restrict roleplay unnecessarily. Call of Roleplay is a Light/Medium Roleplay server. Players are given freedom in how they play their characters, provided their actions remain fair and give others a reasonable opportunity to participate. Use common sense, respect other players and do not deliberately abuse technicalities or loopholes. By playing on Call of Roleplay, you agree to follow these rules. The rules may be updated when necessary. Major changes will be announced by the CO:RP Staff Team. |
